Dance
Inspiring confidence, creativity, and coordination—one joyful step at a time.
Our dance program offers a unique and engaging blend of essential movement skills and foundational dance styles, specially designed for young learners. Through a balanced curriculum that includes coordination, balance, rolling, tumbling, and basic acrobatics, children build physical confidence and body awareness from the ground up.
Alongside these core movement skills, dancers are introduced to the grace and posture of ballet fundamentals, as well as the rhythm, energy, and expressiveness of Latin and salsa-inspired movement. This dynamic, age-appropriate mix encourages creativity, discipline, and a genuine love for dance.
Whether your child is just beginning their movement journey or ready to deepen their skills after school, we have a class that meets them right where they are.

Meet the Dance Teacher
My name is Alexa Young
Ms. Keli brings a vibrant and nurturing energy to every class, blending her love of dance with years of experience teaching young children. Her passion began at the age of 7 in Maracaibo, Venezuela, when she took her very first ballet class—and she’s been dancing ever since.
After moving to Jacksonville, Florida, Keli continued her dance journey through high school and into college, where she took ballet and modern dance classes at the University of Florida as part of her extracurricular studies. It was during this time that she also discovered a love for Flamenco and Salsa, leading her to perform with the Fuego Flamenco Troupe and guitarist Dennis Fermin. She later joined the semi-pro salsa team at Salsa Caliente in Jacksonville, where she both performed and taught.
Today, Keli teaches at Shining Bright Preschool, where she shares her passion for movement through classes that combine foundational skills with joyful expression. Her teaching blends ballet basics, Latin rhythms, and essential movement skills like balance, coordination, and tumbling—all designed to build confidence and creativity in young dancers. You might also catch her popping into local dance studios around town—always a student at heart.
Her goal is to help every child feel confident, creative, and free to shine—both in the studio and beyond.
