Suzuki Piano
At Shining Bright Preschool, we proudly offer Suzuki Piano instruction designed to nurture young musicians through a joyful, engaging, and developmentally appropriate approach. Our program follows the renowned Suzuki Method, beginning with Pre-Twinkle—a foundational stage focused on listening, rhythm, and motor skills—before progressing through Twinkle Variations and into Level I, where students begin formal note reading and more advanced repertoire. With a focus on parent involvement, daily listening, and positive reinforcement, our Suzuki Piano program helps children build confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of music from the very start.
Pre-Twinkle
The Pre-Twinkle stage lays the essential groundwork for future piano success. In this beginning phase, children are introduced to piano through playful activities that build coordination, rhythm, listening skills, and finger strength. Students learn proper posture, hand position, and how to listen actively to music—both live and recorded. Parents are closely involved, attending lessons and learning how to support daily practice at home. This stage is all about creating a joyful and encouraging environment where children begin to understand that music is both expressive and fun.

Twinkle
In the Twinkle phase, students begin playing the well-known "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" variations—an iconic part of the Suzuki Method. These variations introduce foundational techniques such as rhythm patterns, finger independence, and basic musical form. Students also begin to build confidence as they learn to play short pieces from memory. Repetition, encouragement, and listening continue to play a central role as children develop the focus and discipline needed for continued progress.

Suzuki Director
Erica Manses
Erica Manses is the Head of the Suzuki Piano Program at Shining Bright Preschool. She is a certified Suzuki Piano instructor who is deeply committed to musical excellence and education. Erica continually trains and mentors both teachers and advanced students, ensuring high-quality instruction rooted in the Suzuki philosophy. She holds a degree in Music from the University of Pennsylvania and also serves as the Worship Leader for ELIM Congregation in St. Augustine, Florida. Through her leadership and passion for music, Erica fosters a strong, nurturing environment where students and teachers alike can thrive.
Lead Instructor
Brittne Isales
An active artist, singer, and musician, Brittne has been playing piano since the age of 12 and loves sharing her passion for music with children. She is currently completing her Suzuki Piano Certification under the direction of Erica Manses and brings the method’s gentle, encouraging spirit into every lesson. Brittne also serves as a worship leader at Elim Messianic Congregation in St. Johns, FL, where her heart for music and people continues to shine..
